01Submit 4–6 images per editorial. If over 10 images, a maximum of 8 and minimum of 4 will be chosen unless it is a cover story or special feature. File size requirements for accepted work: 8.5×11 portrait at 300dpi.
02If you are not the photographer, you must provide a signed permission/release form from the copyright holder along with your submission.
03Fashion submissions require full wardrobe credits from emerging or independent designers (no major brands). Beauty submissions require makeup credits. All editorials must feature 2–4 different looks.
04Team credits are required for every submission — model names with agency, photographer, stylist, MUA, and all contributors. Missing credits after acceptance means the submission will not be published. Credits must be submitted as editable PDF or Word files.
05Acceptance grants WAJ permission to use your work in publications, websites, videos, marketing materials, and all mediums related to WAJ Magazine.
06Once accepted, your submission must not be published in any other magazine, website, blog, or social media before our issue releases. Violation gives us the right to pull the feature without consent.
01We are always looking for guest writers and bloggers to contribute to the magazine and website. Topics include culture, fashion, beauty, music, arts, and community.
03Include writing samples and links to your work, blog, or portfolio. Strong, original voices with a clear perspective are prioritized.
If your submission is not accepted, it is likely due to one or more of the following. We do not reply to all submissions — if you don’t hear back within 7–10 days, it was not accepted.
✕ Little or no space left in the issue submitted for
✕ Submission received after the deadline
✕ Image quality does not meet our standard
✕ Submission doesn’t fit the theme for that issue
✕ Missing or incomplete team credits
✕ Major brand wardrobe (independent brands only)
