MASKNE? YUCK! HERE ARE 7 HERBS TO RENEW, CLEANSE, AND REVIVE YOUR SKIN.

One work, maskne. Maskne is a side effect many have been suffering with since the pandemic began. Due to wearing a mask all day people have been dealing with breakouts. Our skin already produces oils, bacteria, and dead skin on a daily basis. Now add humidity, caused by breathing and sweating with a mask covering out faces, on top of that and it's a recipe for disaster. The humidity makes the bacteria and toxins really steep into our pores, which is causing major blockages. The chemicals and material the masks are made of is causing irritation by rubbing against our skin all day, especially if you have sensitive skin. Have no fear though, it's nothing we can't handle. I will list 7 herbs that promote skin health. They are safe and natural medicines we can use in our daily lives to not only heal our skin, but possibly eliminating future breakouts all together.

Let's dive in.

#1: BURDOCK

This is an herb used to detox and cleanse your blood. It can help treat acne, boils, and eczema. Burdock helps our body remove all that nasty, toxic build up by cleansing our blood, liver, and kidneys. This is a great way to start your skin health journey. It removes what we don't need, so when we put what we do need it has the space.

#2: Calendula

This herb is best used externally. It is safe to use internally, but it is most effective when used externally. Making a face spray or buying body lotions or creams with calendula is a great place to start. Calendula helps promote rapid wound healing and helps to prevent excess scaring. This herb is great for the pimple poppers and pickers.

#3: Dandelion

Another great detoxifier! Dandelion helps clear waste products from your liver, gall bladder, colon and kidneys. This is great for people who suffer from hormonal acne as it helps balance them out within the body.

#4: Echinacea

This is a powerful herb that helps to boost your immune system. It helps the immune system remove toxins. It is an excellent antibacterial, which helps to prevent the growth and/or spread of harmful bacteria in the body.

#5: Oregon Grape

This is more for people suffering from long term skin conditions such as chronic acne, rosacea, psoriasis, and eczema. It is very effective for people who suffer from deep pitted scars to sever acne. Severa acne can cause tissue loss due to not being able to regenerate the cells causing the skin to look indented.

#6: Red Clover

This is child friendly herb! Red Clover not only boots the immune system and purifies the blood, it also balances your hormones. It can help treat conditions such as rosacea and oily skin. It is especially effective for acne on the forehead, scalp and nose. Great for kids going through puberty!

#7: Tea Tree Oil

For external use ONLY! Some consider this oil to be the most effective, natural acne remedy. It is a powerful antibacterial and antimicrobial. It steeps itself deep into the pore and helps disinfect. By disinfecting your pores, it not only heals the problem from the root, it helps lower the chances of another breakout. It is very strong so please dilute in distilled water to start.

Remember, with hers it is healing from the root of the problem. It may not be as fast acting as chemical remedies but it is more effective! Focus on loving your skin through your journey and be patient with your healing. Skin is the biggest organ in the body and is unique to each individual. Play with different herbs and find out what works best for you. Make sure you are hydrating your skin by drinking plenty of water, eating fresh fruits and vegetables and exfoliating.

As always, I pray for your healing. I send gratitude out to the universe in advance for these herbs getting to the root of our ailments and making room for new, fruitful health.

With Love,
