D'GORD Discusses Single's Significance
We Are Jersey Magazine caught up with D’GORD to discuss the inspiration behind the track.
“Peace was born from my own experiences with a toxic, on-and-off relationship. It’s about the ups and downs, the love and conflict, and the inexplicable bond that keeps you tethered. Ultimately, it’s a plea for peace—whether that’s together or apart,” he shares.
The music video, directed by fellow NJ native Nimmi Hendrix, dives deep into the emotional rollercoaster of love, reflecting D’GORD’s journey with raw, cinematic visuals.
“The video is a reflection of my journey as a young R&B artist trying to find peace in this game we call love".
D’GORD is no stranger to the spotlight. As a former member of the renowned group The Bomb Digz, he toured nationally and internationally, performing alongside artists like Ar’mon and Trey. Since embarking on a solo career in 2019, he has amassed over 600,000 Spotify streams and built a loyal fanbase lovingly called the "Dream Team".
With "Peace", D’GORD showcases his unmatched ability to combine smooth vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and magnetic stage presence.
