The controversial collaboration between Chlöe Bailey and Chris Brown has arrived! Chlöe – one half of Chloe x Halle — continues the rollout of her debut solo studio and has fans stoked! On Friday February 24th, she released the raved record, “How Does It Feel”. The trendy track serves as the second single or “piece” to arrive ahead of her highly anticipated album, In Pieces.
After days of backlash over the song featuring Chris Brown, “How Does It Feel” arrived alongside a vibrant video that sees Chlöe and Chris trade verses about a failing relationship. Throughout the track, Chlöe rubs it in the face of a previous lover that she’s done for good. While featured vocalist C Breezy admits that he messed up.
Chlöe and Chris Brown Come Together For New R&B Classic
As for the Arrad- directed visual, the superstar songstress sets the visual on fire. In doing so, Chlöe also appears in a series of fierce fits, each revealing more skin than the last. If her silky smooth yet powerful vocals in the R&B song didn't already establish her as a sex symbol, the video certainly did. While also making a claim for her to become the industry's latest trendsetter and fashion icon.
When it was announced that Chris would be the featured artist on Chlöe’s "How Does It Feel," Brown praised her. On the recent praised post, Chris goes on to say:
“You are a beautiful soul… TAKE OVER THE WORLD SHAWTY and DONT LOOK BACK! YOU ARE A QUEEN! DONT LET NOBODY TELL YOU NO DIFFERENT! You followed your dreams and now the universe is fulfilling that manifestation”.
In response, underneath the caption Chlöe comments: “Can’t wait for the world to hear the magic we created”.
"How Does It Feel"?
"How Does It Feel" follows Chlöe's previous popular single, "Pray It Away," which was released last month. Keeping up the momentum, Chlöe announced the arrival of the collaborative release across her social media accounts on February 16th. The announcement arrived with a photo post of herself with Chris taken from a shot within their scenes for the forthcoming feature. Fans immediately argued against continuing to support Chris Brown, citing his history of inappropriate behavior.
Although fans of Chlöe were not pleased with the pair's collaboration on "How Does It Feel", which sparked some controversy on social media earlier this week; Brown took the brunt of the shade from fans after attempting to defend himself.
Nonetheless, Chloe's debut album, In Pieces, is slated to be released on March 31st by Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records. Bailey stated that the 2021 and 2022 singles "Have Mercy", "Treat Me", "Surprise", and "For the Night" featuring Latto would not be included on her debut solo album, In Pieces. Furthermore, Bailey is gearing up to appear in Donald Glover's co-created Prime Video series Swarm, which will premiere on March 17th. For now, stay tuned here at WAJ Mag for all Chlöe updates!
